An Introduction

Merry Meet!
If you've found this community, it means that you were searching for a group geared toward young adult Wiccans (and Pagans). Welcome - no matter what your personal spiritual beliefs.

This is a group for Wiccans to share their ideas, beliefs, and thoughts on - well, anything, really. My hope is that this will become a place for trading information, ideas, and even everyday thoughts - including non-Wicca related topics.

A common obstacle faced by Wiccans who are just beginning to learn and expand their ideas/beliefs is that they simply don't know where to turn for information. This is a place where asking questions and sharing answers is encouraged, whether you'd like a recommendation of a book or web site, or are trying to find local shops or groups. There's lots of learning and information to be had!

Another problem that young Wiccans - particularly teens - face is opposition from their parents. This may limit the ways in which you can practice, and you'll receive advice and sympathy here in dealing with having to stay "in the broom closet," so to speak.

Whether you've been practicing Wicca your entire life or just picked up a book and thought, "This sounds interesting, I'd like to know more," welcome!

As for myself? I'm an 18 year old college student, who has been studying Wicca and other Pagan/Neo-Pagan and Eastern religions for almost seven years. I've spent that time culling out many different aspects of various traditions, combining them into a hodgepodge of blended belief that I most closely identify with Wicca. I would best describe my belief as Eclectic Solitary Wicca. Part of the reason that I started this community is that I would like to socialize more with other Wiccans - it's incredibly isolating practicing by myself for so long, and I feel that I have a lot to be learned from other practitioners, not just books and websites!

So, Wiccan, Pagan, or not at all, welcome. I hope that you find what you wanted to from this community, and I hope that in time, this will become an active community of friendly, like-minded young adults.

Brightest Blessings, and have a very happy day!

[status: Saying a blessing that I do well on my History final today!]
